UNESCO recognizes genuine book of ‘Jami-al-Tawarikh’ kept at Iran-based Golestan Palace museum as part of the world's documentary heritage.

The ancient book by Rashid al-Din Hamadani is now listed in UNESCO's Memory of the World Program.

Rashid al-Din’s three-volume book is a window not only to the history of Iran, but the whole humanity, said Ashraf Boroujerdi, head of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAOI).

‘Jami al-Tawarikh’ is a work of literature and history produced in the Mongol Ilkhanate era in Iran.

Rashid al-Din was a statesman, historian and physician who lived between the 13th and 14th centuries.
